We encourage you to register so you can add your comments and ideas to consultations that are currently open for comment and be notified of future consultation opportunities.

  • Review of Environmental Factors - Lower Thredbo Valley Track

    The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is seeking comment on the proposed Lower Thredbo Valley Track and the Review of Environmental Factors.

    The NPWS is proposing to extend the recently completed shared-use Thredbo Valley Track within Kosciuszko National Park. The proposed track will be known as the Lower Thredbo Valley Track. The proposal would extend the existing track by an additional 18–20 kms from Bullocks Flat to the Thredbo River Picnic Area.

    These materials remain online for you to review, but the initial stage of consultation on the Wild Horse Management Plan for Kosciusko National Park is now closed. The input, along with advice from the Independent Technical Reference Group is helping to shape the next plan. In mid 2015 the redrafted Wild Horse Management Plan will be placed on public exhibition for further consultation.
