Review of Sydney Water Corporation’s sewage treatment Environment Protection Licences

The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is undertaking a five year statutory review of the environment protection licences (licences) held by Sydney Water Corporation (SWC) for the operation of its sewage treatment systems.

A state-owned corporation, Sydney Water holds 23 licences for the sewerage systems it owns and operates across the Sydney, Illawarra and Blue Mountains areas.

The focus of the EPA’s licence review is to provide the community with an opportunity to contribute to the process by reviewing and providing feedback on the conditions contained in Sydney Water’s sewage treatment licences.

If you are interested in providing comment on any of Sydney Water’s licences, the EPA welcomes your written submissions by 5pm on Friday 1 May 2015.
